When Valentines Day is coming round the corner, often we start to think about what make up we are going to do. There is often this idea that a lot of make up or a heavy smokey eye will attract men. We have seen in all the magazines that most men prefer the natural look. Little do they know this doesn’t mean the scary no make up look with our blotchy skin and we should have slept eyes. This means ourselves only slightly better and a bit more enhanced.
How to get the look:
1: The base- The base should be flawless but without a heavy coverage something like Chanel Vitalumiere will give you a great coverage whilst looking light on the skin.
2: The cheeks- A soft peachy and slightly shimmery blush on the cheeks suits every skin tone from light to dark and looks like a natural and healthy flush.
3: Get rid of those imperfections- My favourite under eye concealer is the Clinique Airbrush Concealer it conceals whilst offering some illuminating properties great for under the eyes and it photographs really well. Cover any spots or blemishes with a thicker concealer such as Mac Studio Sculpt or Laura Mercier.
4: The eyes: The look for the eyes is subtle but defined. A great eye shadow pallete to own has a light brown, a medium brown a dark brown and a highlight colour. Wash the light brown or golden colour of the lids, contour with the medium brown in the crease of the eye and line the lashes with the dark brown colour lightly around the eye. Highlight the tear duct and the brown bone softly with the highlight colour. If you have the extra money the Chanel palette in Kaska Beige is lovely for all skin tones.
5: The lips- For the lips a soft nude lipstick or balm will look great with this look, make sure it isn’t too much of a concealer colour, you’re aiming for a peachy nude rather than a washed out cream.
Now you are ready for your date. Most of the women in the same restaurant as you will be wondering how you look so lovely without much make up. We ll it is a lot of make up but they dont know that!
