Undoubtedly my favourite era. The most impressive thing to come out of the sixties is the eyeliner and make up. The face must be a blank canvas, natural and smooth and matte. The eyes however, do the talking.
How to achieve this look
You will need:
Bobbi Brown Long Wear Gel Eyeliner £15.50
Mac 266 Small Angle Brush £15.00
Urban Decay eye primer potion £12.00
1 beige eyeshadow
1 grey eyeshadow
To achieve this look first of all prime the eyes with the Urban Decay primer potion. This will mean that the eye make-up will not smudge or crease and therefore will give a great effect.
Secondly apply a beige eyeshadow all over the lid up to the eyebrow. It is better to wear eyeshadow under a liner as it gives it something to hold on to.
Next apply the grey eyeshadow to the crease, you can do this with any soft tapered brush that you own, just make sure you buff out the edges.
Once the eyeshadow is in place you can begin with the liner. First of all line close to the lash line from the inner corner to the outer corner of the eye using the Mac 266, then, create a flick at the edge of both eyes by drawing an imaginary line from the outer corner of the eye to the outer corner of the eyebrow. Just make sure they are even.
Finally lashings of mascara to create the perfect sixties eye and if your brave enough a set of false eyelashes.
